Former Mayor of Cypress. CEO of We Care Orange County. Nonprofit leader. Mother. Neighbor. Candidate for Cypress City Council, District 1.
Anne Hertz-Mallari is a seasoned nonprofit leader with more than 30 years of experience strengthening Orange County families. She currently serves as the CEO of We Care Orange County, an organization focused on preventing homelessness by addressing the root causes of eviction for individuals and families facing short-term crises.
Under Anne's leadership, We Care delivers a comprehensive safety net, including case management, financial planning, rent and utility assistance, and access to nutritious food, that empowers people to achieve long-term self-sufficiency. Her vision is clear: prevent a crisis from becoming a catastrophe, and ensure no family in our community faces a housing crisis alone.
Prior to We Care, Anne served more than 17 years as CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Anaheim-Cypress, growing the organization from a single location to 18, serving more than 2,600 kids daily across Anaheim, Cypress, and La Palma. Through those programs, children build self-confidence, receive academic support, and participate in hands-on science and college-prep in a safe after-school environment.
